How To Manage Anxiety When Growing A Startup – with Matt Abrahams

Welcome to The Lirone Glikman Show!
This show focuses on the Human Factor in business, marketing and communications in a hybrid world.

The topic of anxiety is so common among startup founders and entrepreneurs, and it should be discussed more. This is why I invited Matt Abrahams, an expert on communication, author and a popular lecturer at Stanford University. I must say, this was one of the most practical interviews I’ve ever done with great advice on how to overcome anxiety and improve communication during important situations like sales or pitches to investors.

I’m excited to introduce you to Matt Abrahams!
A Lecturer in Organizational Behavior at Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business where he teaches two of the most popular classes in Strategic Communication and Effective Virtual Presenting. He is the host of a podcast called “Think Fast Talk Smart”, and the author of a book called: “Speaking up without freaking out”, 50 techniques for confident, calm, competent presenting.

Matt held senior leadership positions in several leading software companies, where he created and ran global learning and development organizations and he is the founder and principal at TFTS Communications LLC, a presentation and communication skills company based in Silicon Valley.

We discussed about:
Understanding and dealing with anxiety, ways to improve pitching to investors, communication on video calls and managing cultural differences when it comes to making business with the US.

You are more than invited to watch this FASCINATING interview below!

A few of the questions Matt Abrahams answered were:
